Kid's Delight - Lunch Box Recipes (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)
PJ is starting the new year with a request for all to make Lunch Box recipes suitable for kids. These recipes needless to say, should be Kid approved and appropriate to be packed in a box for school.
Depending on your child's age group, please mention in the post and along with other things that you will be packing for the kid.
Mixed Vegetables in different forms.
The vegetables to be mixed are
1. Potato, Beans and Carrot
2. Cauliflower, Peas and Potato
3. Cabbage, Peas and Carrot
If you select Potato Beans and Carrot, then with this you can make a starter, rice or a gravy or any other course as well.
Rule is with the same combination of vegetables you can make different course in a meal. You can't make two gravies or two rice dishes. Each day should have different course of a meal.
Stuffed Bread
Yeast Bread with stuffing
Stuffed Indian Roti/Parathas with twist
Naan / Khula with stuffing
The twist can be a vegetable that's not common in Indian cuisine or a spice, it can be anything from the regular Indian breads
Cooking with Kitchen Electric appliance
Under this, you need to post a recipe that uses any kitchen appliance excessively.
Like baking, where an oven is mandatory
Rice cooker / Slow cooker
Mixer / Grinder / Food processor (Simple grinding is not accepted, dishes like puree of onion and tomato, Idli or Dosa etc)
Sandwich maker / Grill
Basically any Kitchen Electric appliance can be used to prepared recipes for each day. And the entire or major part of the recipe needs to be done with the appliance aid. Like for making Idlis, the grinder / Mixer is very essential though finally a Steamer is required.
Again each day has to focus on one appliance.
Weaning Foods (Age Below 1 year) / Food for Toddlers (Age 1 - 3)
As the theme says, please share your recipes that you cook/cooked for your kids during this age period. I am sure there are many new moms who would benefit from this information.
Cooking from a Restaurant Menu
You can select any one menu from the below listed. However all three days should feature dishes from the same menu/Restaurant, one from each category listed.
One from Subah ho ya Shyam
One from Hari Bhari Sabjiyah
