Blogging Marathon # 28 - 3 Day Marathon for 4 weeks!

With the non stop Blogging happening right now, I didn't want to give very tough themes and tax my friends. So I decided on a relatively easy to do, without much clauses included. I hope everybody will end up being happy with the themes.

Talking about non stop blogging, on top with a weekly theme, it's been a fantastic 15 day stunt! I have got to read about so many traditional recipes in the last 15 days, that it was mind blowing. So many of them have taken such pains and efforts to do a wonderful theme. I am glad to be having a group of such enthusiastic and dedicated bloggers. Thank you friends.

Coming back to the announcement, for those of you who are landing here for the first time, then please check out these posts on Blogging Marathon, you can read about all the history, the thought process that's gone in everything in one place in the BM#18 intro

For details on BM held every month, check out the Blogging Marathon page. Once I get all details I will be updating this page. Bloggers taking part in this marathon need to just link back to this page.

The entry is again by Sign ups and each theme will again have only 4 bloggers on first come first basis. 

And because of the new rules I will not be able to accept late sign ups as it will become extremely hard for me to manage otherwise. If you feel you want to do it, please decide ahead, else you can join later.

Commenting on the week blogger's post is mandatory.

And subscription to the group will be monthly basis.

3, 4, 5 May 
10, 11, 12 May
17, 18, 19 May
24, 25, 26 May

FYI:  Requests to join after 23rd April will not be accepted.

Mandatory rules for this Blogging Marathon are as below:
  • Should take up 2 weeks of BM without fail. It can be any two weeks.
  • Will have to post on all 3 days with 2 weeks without fail
  • Same theme can't be taken by one blogger.
  • Should follow the accepted theme all 3 days, meaning if you choose one topic like Rice, you should post all rice based recipes all 3 days.
  • Should link to the Blogging Marathon page.
  • Is expected to actively give feedback on others post.
  • Mandatory reading and commenting on fellow participating member.
Each theme can be selected by four bloggers on first come first bases. 

Other rules will be mailed to the individuals.

Themes for BM # 28th will be the following:

Since having this theme is to make sure my Kid's Delight event gets good entries, I thought it makes sense to have two themes based on the hosting time.

Kid's Delight - 5 Ingredient Fix (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
Kid's Delight - Sweet Treats (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)

Kid's Delight - 5 Ingredient Fix  (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)

Always cooking complicated dishes, with so many steps and so many ingredients that's called for, it sometimes becomes really hard to think of those simple, yet delicious dishes that can be done with just 5 ingredients. That's exactly why Pavani thought this would be a great theme for the current Kid's Delight edition.

She is calling for ideas that will be kid approved foods, and can be anything from breakfast foods to desserts. The only condition being that the finally dish should be made with only 5 INGREDIENTS OR LESS.

She has given salt/ sugar, pepper/chili powder, oil/butter, tempering ingredients as freebies, everything else will be counted towards the 5 ingredients. So lets have fun in coming up with some delicious dishes that our kids would love.

Kid's Delight - Sweet Treats (17,18,19 and 24,25,26) 

Sowmya will be hosting the may edition. She is calling dishes that can be "Sweet Treats". It can be anything from Indian Sweets to International ones (including baked ones). Need to be vegetarian and Egg less.

Types of Kootus as made in Tamil Nadu

Well with Kootus being a part of the Tamil Nadu cuisine, this is a dish you hardly find it featured in a resturant. This mostly a homemade dish. These are either made on it's own or with Kootu podi.

I know this is sort of being very specific, I simply thought this category would surely need an exposure.

A kootu is typicall a dish made with lentil and vegetables, mostly served as a side dish and is liquid in state. This is not a dry saute.

Samosas with Different filling

Who wouldn't know Samosas. I love samosas and make with so many different fillings. Now is your chance to make these either baked or deep fried.

Sindhi cuisine

As the name says, you can cook and showcase sindhi cuisines.

Mango Special dishes

With mangoes on us, cook away with mangoes and enjoy!

Indian Bread

Each day should be of the below

One Deep Fried
One Stuffed
One Blended

Setting right kitchen disasters

Any failed recipe that you changed into a different thing, (eg cake batter turned into Cookies)

Special Theme - Do three weeks and for the 4th week you get to do the special theme.

BM Pairs. Whoever signs up for this will be paired with other BM member and they can cook from each other's blog.

This is accepted only for the 4th week.
